Bodhisattva Towers of the Bayon

The Bayon temple, about a half mile from Angkor Wat, features 54 towers of four-sided Bodhisattva faces, a venerable Buddhist image. Built a century after Angkor Wat, the Bayon represented the change from Brahaminism to Buddhism as the official state religion. All the temples are now active Buddhist religious shrines.
